The introduction page for my computer engineering projects.

I love embedded systems design, and creating programs that interface with the real world. I have been involved in computers since I was 13 years old and have a bachelor of computer systems engineering degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas. I have worked on diverse projects such as an insurance database for Walmart, a system of sensors for monitoring agriicultural lands, design of a router chip while at Intel Corporation, a bit rate tester for fiberoptic systems, and many others.
I'm familiar with a number of languages, including PL/1, C, C++, Python, Perl, Java, Visual Basic, and many assembler languages. Currently I am very interested in the Raspberry Pi as a small, real time operating systems control device.
I normally operate linux computer systems. currently I'm working with linux Mint and Raspian.

A homemade robot to explore robotics development and artificial intellegence, including natural language processing. My main project at this time. It is named Grendel One. as of Sept 8th 2015 it is basically a skeleton and some robotics. It is based around a Raspberry Pi, and will eventually use a number of Raspberry Pi's configured as a beowulf cluster as its brain, with portable hard drives (2TB and greater) as its memory, and smartphone battery packs for power when it cannot connect to the grid. It uses model airplane servos for motor countrol and I'm working on implementing underactuated control systems for movement. AI development is in the plans for this winter.
